SCHOLARSHIPS

COLSA SCHOLARSHIPS

Open to any member of COLSA. It must be a current degree-seeking undergraduate or graduate student at the University of Oklahoma; exchange students or CESL students can’t be awarded a scholarship.  Scholarships are awarded at Colombian Night each year by the Colombian OU Alumni Association (COUAA), with the matching of the OU Alumni office. 

ABOUT COUAA

We are a group of Colombian alumni from the University of Oklahoma who understand the value of education and the effort that some Colombian students are making to come to OU to pursue a degree. The mission of our association is to give back to OU, through a Scholarship Fund for COLSA members, what the university HAS provided to us education, experience and knowledge.

HISTORY


The mission of the Colombian OU Alumni Association - COUAA
is to offer scholarships to the most needed members of the Colombian Student Association (COLSA).
It has become a Sooner network of contacts and friendship for many of the members after graduation
.
The COUAA Scholarship Endowment was created in 2013 and grows every year with the generous support from alumni, scholarship recipients and people that believe that education is the key for success

  • OU matches dollar for dollar that goes to scholarships

  • The maximum a student can receive per year with matching is $5000.

  • COUAA scholarships are awarded in the Spring during the Colombian Night event

  • It’s open to any nationality, not only Colombians

  • Students must be degree-seeking students either undergraduate or graduate

  • Students must be members of COLSA
